Services

ARC Marion offers services to persons in Ocala/Marion County, Florida born with intellectual and developmentaly disabilities ranging in age from birth to age three and then age 18 and older.  Intellectual and developmental disabilities consist of those with medical diagnoses of autism, Prader Willi, cerebral palsy, Spina Bifida, and/or chromosomal disorders like Down’s syndrome.

  •           Adult Day Training

    Adult Day Training (ADT)  provides individualized support services for adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities to increase their levels of independence.  We offer individualized specialty training in the following program areas: Daily Living, Janitorial, Lawn Service, Computer Skills, Recreation, Arts and Crafts, Health and Safety, Job Skills, Enclave Program and Transition program into Community Employment as well as offering a Senior Program and an Intensive Program.

  •           Community Services

    Coaches assist adults in areas such a supported employment and supported independent living.  We provide guidance and support in money management, cooking, housekeeping, shopping, health, and other needs as well as helping clients find a place to live, meet roommates to share expenses, and even assist persons in buying their own home. Job Coaches assist clients in finding jobs through assessment of work skill and interests, counseling, job matching and follow-along support. Job Coaches provide assistance to both employee and employer to ensure long term successful employment. 

  •           Early Intervention Program

    The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is a collaborative effort between ARC Marion, Inc., Marion County Schools and the Early Steps Program of Children’s Medical Services. We offer a comprehensive program for children with developmental delays from birth to age three and their families. The EIP offers play-based curriculum through a combination of small and large group activities. Occupational, speech, and physical therapies are provided on site. Early Intervention offers support to the family and prepares the young child for public school or home-based education. 

         

  •  Professional Services
The Professional Services Department Coordinates all support activities for adult clients. The Department ensures the provision of person-centered, individualized support, and monitors the quality and satisfaction of all services provided.  Two Health Service Coordinators ensure community healthcare for our clients.
  •           Residential Services

    Our eight Group Homes provide round-the clock support and training in all aspects of daily living. Direct Care Staff are responsible for the direct training of the intellectually and physically disabled to include personal care, cooking, cleaning, shopping, transporting, laundry, yard and home maintenance. The goal of our staff is to help individuals develop personal goals for achieving greater levels of independence and community involvement.
