What are Scholarships for Hope?

Terry, who receives $700 a month for job skills training on ARC Marion’s campus to maintain his skills while he looks for a job in the community;
This scholarship program offers ARC Marion clients the funding to utilize ARC Marion job skills training, supported living assistance, employment coaches, transportation services and other support programs.
For the past three years, The Foundation has provided nearly $175,000 in scholarship assistance to dozens of ARC Marion clients who are financially disadvantaged due to budget cuts from state funding.
Who is Being Helped?
On a monthly basis, the names and faces change, but their needs don’t. The Hope Foundation relies heavily on individual donations to continue helping clients like: Helen, Terry and Cora.

Cora, who receives $187 amonth in scholarship assistance for an ARC Marion life coach to help her live independently in her own apartment.
Costs* for program scholarships include:
- Transportation- $500 a month
- Adult Day Training- $700 a month
- Supported Employment- $800 a month
- Supported Independent Living- $900 a month
- Companion Support- $1,300 a month
- Group Home (full-time residence)- $3,500 a month
